九州大学大学院博士課程修了、博士（比較社会文化）
ワルシャワ大学講師、九州栄養福祉大学講師を経て現職。

Research
比較文学・文化、近現代日本語文学、英語圏文学、欧州文学。ラフカディオ・ハーン（小泉八雲）を主軸に、19・20世紀文学・文化を研究。また、「山口大学研究推進体：人と移動研究推進体」の研究代表として、国内外の研究者と学際的に、様々な「移動」を研究中。さらに、英語作家J・ロンドンの秘書が山口からのハワイ移民であったことを発見し、文学における「南洋・南方」についての研究も進行中。

Associate Professor Fujiwara obtained a PhD degree from Kyushu University, Graduate School of Social and Cultural Studies. She has worked at the University of Warsaw, Kyushu Nutrition Welfare University, and is now working at Yamaguchi University as an associate professor. Her field of research is comparative literature and culture. She is the author of many research articles concerning Lafcadio Hearn, as well as many other Japanese and non-Japanese authors.
